গোপনের মামলায় বিএনপি চেয়ারপার্সনের উপদেষ্টা ইকবাল হাসান মাহমুদ টুকুকে
হাই কোর্টের দেয়া খালাসের রায় বাতিল করে দিয়েছে আপিল বিভাগ।
এ মামলায় বিচারিক আদালতের দেয়া দণ্ডাদেশের বিরুদ্ধে টুকুর করা আপিল আবেদন হাই কোর্টকে আবারো শুনতে বলেছে সর্বোচ্চ আদালত।
দুর্নীতি
দমন কমিশনের করা ‘লিভ টু আপিল’- এর নিষ্পত্তি করে প্রধান বিচারপতি মো.
মোজাম্মেল হোসেনের নেতৃত্বে পাঁচ সদস্যের আপিল বেঞ্চ সোমবার এই আদেশ দেয়।
আদেশের পর দুদকের আইনজীবী খুরশীদ আলম খান বিডিনিউজ টোয়েন্টিফোর
ডটকমকে বলেন, “সাক্ষীদের জবানবন্দি পর্যালোচনা না করেই হাই কোর্ট রায়
দিয়েছিল। এই যুক্তিতে হাই কোর্ট বিষয়টি আবারো শুনতে বলেছে।”
আপিল বিভাগে টুকুর পক্ষে শুনানি করেন আজমালুল হোসেন কিউ সি।

করেন।
কমিশনের উপ-পরিচালক এসএমএম আখতার হামিদ ভূঞা ওই বছর ২৮ জুন মহানগর হাকিম আদালতে এ মামলায় অভিযোগপত্র দেন।
২০০৭ সালের ১৫ নভেম্বর বিচারিক আদালত এ মামলার রায়ে এই বিএনপি নেতাকে নয় বছরের কারাদণ্ড দেয়।
তিনি ওই রায়ের বিরুদ্ধে আপিল করলে হাই কোর্ট ২০১১ সালের ১৫ জুন তাকে বেকসুর খালাস দেয়।
হাই কোর্টের ওই রায়ের বিরুদ্ধে গতবছর ৪ ডিসেম্বর লিভ টু আপিল দায়ের করে দুদক।
ওই আবেদনের নিষ্পত্তি করেই প্রধান বিচারপতির নেতৃত্বে আপিল বেঞ্চ হাই কোর্টের খালাসের রায় বাতিল করে আবারো শুনানি করার আদেশ দিল।
